Celestial Flux

The Celestial Flux is the active force running through every realm of the Dominion Nexus. It is not decorative and not passive — it shifts physical appearances, alters abilities, and occasionally bestows entirely new ones on those it touches. The Flux does not ask permission. It responds to presence, to intent, and to the accumulated weight of what factions do within the Nexus. Those who try to use it on their own terms usually discover it has terms of its own.

Creation of the Nexus

The Origin of the Dominion Nexus

The Convergence

Before the realms took shape, there was no order — only unorganized primordial energy with nowhere to go. The Celestial Threads formed from that energy, not gently but forcefully, driving through the void and pulling fragmented dimensions toward each other. The collision didn't create harmony. It created the Dominion Nexus — a convergence point where countless realities were forced to coexist whether they were ready to or not.

What the Nexus Is

The Nexus is not a single world. It is a meeting point — overlapping realms, each with its own rules and energies, held together by the Threads running beneath all of them. Some realms are stable. Some are volatile. All of them are connected, and what happens in one eventually reaches the others.

The Celestial Flux

As the Nexus took shape, the Celestial Flux emerged from the same collision that built it. It moves through the Threads continuously — altering physical forms, shifting abilities, occasionally bestowing entirely new ones on those it touches. It does not ask permission. It responds to presence and intent, and those who try to control it on their own terms usually find it has terms of its own.

The Weavers

Certain beings emerged with the rare ability to manipulate the Threads directly. These Weavers could shape events, redirect the Flux, and build entire realms within the Nexus. They became its first architects — and its first problem. Power over the Threads is not neutral, and the Weavers were not all working toward the same end.

The Sundering

At some point the balance broke. Records call it the Sundering — a catastrophic fracture that destabilized the Threads and erased the Nexus Guardians who had maintained equilibrium. What caused it is still debated. What it left behind is not: fractured Thread architecture, realms pulled out of alignment, and an instability that has never fully resolved. Every faction operating in the Nexus today is, in some way, working around the damage the Sundering left.

What Remains

The Nexus holds. It has held through the Sundering, through centuries of factional conflict, and through forces that have tried to rewrite its structure from the inside. At its core, the Aeon Spire stands — visible only when the balance is most at risk, housing the Nexus Core that anchors everything. The Flux still moves. The Threads still connect. And the factions that call the Nexus home continue to pull at them, each convinced they understand what the Nexus is better than anyone else.

None of them fully do.
